Session Thirteen
The Yellow car is almost entirely done. The only thing remaining is to clean up the "nacelles" and get the molded. here is a picture of the remaining undercarriage pieces. The ones on the left are from the yellow car. That little cluster of pieces took a LONG time to get right. There's machined parts in there, found parts, scratch built parts, and molded resin parts.

On the right hand side of that panel are the pieces to the undercarriage of the grey car. The "Speeder bike cowl" as I'm calling it underwent a major overhaul, and got significantly cleaned up. The other parts are scratch built, and there's some evergreen styrene in there too.

Here are a few pics of the engine compartment for the grey car. There's two panels of pieces. Some of the pieces are found parts, some are scratch built, and the others are kit bashed. I did not have ANY luck finding any of the kit bash pieces, so I've set about cleaning up castings of the kit bash pieces. I will then incorporate those cleaned up castings into new masters, which will use the found parts. Strike that, I actually did find ONE of the kit bash pieces.

This first pic shows a comparison of my new scratch built panel with a casting of the one that came with the car.

I have the nacelles for the grey car all set. They were extracted from other castings. Gotta get those molded. There was also a little nose-cone jobbie (not pictured) that I also just finished cleaning up. So the undercarriage for the grey car is done, except for molding.
