Session Seventeen
This session marks the completion of the Jaguar! Who knew I would actually finish one of the cars

This first picture just shows a couple of resin pieces that I pulled. These are going to be added on to the undercarriage just before painting is finished. Though the original car didn't have these, I think it will make a nice addition. Most of the cars in the movie had these kind of engine caps, so I'm trying to be consistent.

Here's a shot of the completed, rebuilt undercarriage. All of the pieces except for the two engine bodies were scratch built. Wait, there's a little greeblie in there that was cast off the hero undercarriage that I had my hands on a while back. I ended up using the off the shelf parts for the main engine bodies. These are the masters. My original plan was to mold these, and then use castings on this car, but then I noticed that the project has already taken like 2 years, and I didn't want it to take much longer. Besides, I don't really plan on ever offering kits of this car, so it's not like I need molds or anything.

First picture is a shot of the car and the engines after primering. I didn't take any pictures of painting the top half of the car, or masking off for the windows. I guess I didn't photo the pinstriping process either. Oh well, just goes to show the type of stuff you sacrifice in the name of getting the project done.

After primering, painting the base coat, and masking, I hit the undercarriage with a coat of plasti-kote 1002.

To give the undercarriage the dirty look that was seen on the original, I misted the undercarriage with a few shots of plasti-kote 1004. Turned out really nice. Though I don't think it looks like good weathering, it does look exactly like the original.

And that about wraps it up for the Jaguar. All done!!!!
