Fifth Element MultiPass Tutorial

This step is pretty easy. The only place it can be screwed up is with the alignment of the parts. Be careful!

This first picture shows the pieces involved in this step. You need the midplate, and the backplate.
Using your plastruct glue, apply it liberally to the back plate. I recommend not putting glue on the midplate, as it is difficult to eyeball proper location.

Once you get glue in place, gently place the back plate into position on the mid plate. Don't press down hard, as you may need to gently tap the pieces into place so that they line up perfectly. Once everything is aligned, apply gentle pressure to the parts. Avoid squeezing so tightly that it shoves the pieces out of alignment.

After you give the pieces some time to set, you may find that the glue did not spread evenly across the parts. If necessary, pry apart the pass pieces using an exacto knife, and brush in some more glue. Don't pull the entire assembly apart just because the arms didn't kick properly.
Here's where we stand so far. Back plate attached.
