Fifth Element MultiPass Tutorial

In this step, I shape a piece of strip styrene into the "bullet" shape that ends up on the upper left hand corner of the face of the Multipass.

The print out shows what the proper shape of the bullet should be. You don't have to be too precise on this step, it's really up to you how close you want it to be. First thing I did was lay the piece of strip styrene down on the paper and marked off how long the bullet should be. I liked up the back end of the strip with the back end of the bullet drawing on the page, then drew a line where the tip of the bullet should be.

After that, I just used sandpaper and a file to get the shape as close as I could to the illustration. No real magic or voodoo here, just some elbow grease.

Here you can see my finished bullet and the pass body.

I attach the bullet using my Plastruct cement and some pressure. Refer to pictures of the multipass for exact placement.

This picture shows the pass so far. Bullet attached at the top.
