When I first saw this movie when I was a little kid, there were two things I liked about it: The aqua-lung, and the radioactive lint. I don't have the lint yet.
This is a really great piece, made by the company that held the license for many years, S.D.Studios. From what I'm told, it's pretty much dead on accurate to the original. S.D. had access to the Bond prop archives, so their reproductions are as close as you can get.
the brass valve is all machined metal, the two oxygen cylinders are (I beleive) found parts, and there's also a weird little piece of plastic on the back of it.
The Romeo Y Julietta cigar case leaves something to be desired, though it is nice. The graphic on the case is actually a screen print onto a piece of clear adhesive, which was applied to the case. I would have preferred it if the screening was done directly to the case, but like Mick Jagger says, I can't always get what I want. Still, it's a VERY nice piece, and I'm very happy with it.
There was a recent discussion about the legitimacy of the "Romeo Y Julietta" cigar brand. The following information was contributed by jtballesteros:
"They are hand made in the Dominican Republic using a blend of Brazilian and Dominican long-filler tobaccos, a binder from Connecticut and an Indonesian wrapper. It's medium in strength.
Actually, the Dominican version is a modern re-creation of the original Cuban brand, but like most expensive cigars, most have a Dominican version for exporting purposes.
The Romeo y Julieta Churchill is 7 inches long.
The real Romeo y Julieta has only one "T" in Julieta. "
