For the last year or so, this piece has been under the gentle care of my friends in Kropserkel up in Canada. It only recently made its way back into my collection.
Here is some information about the piece from the individual who made it:
The copy I created was molded off one of a handful of snitches used by ILM to produce the CGI snitch sequences in the first movie.
To film the snitch in flight, a screw was threaded into the bottom of the prop with a string attached to it, and the other end connected to a stick. This contraption was then used to film the snitch as it was sent flying through the air by the stick operator.
The copy I used was made of resin and hand guilt in gold. I sold it to a private collector slightly over a year ago.
