It’s gum. It’s Beeman’s! It’s Beeman’s Gum!
This was a “value add” prop that was included in the jacket pocket of the Rocketeer jacket that I recently purchase online. A super nice little touch that puts it over the edge, and makes it that much cooler.
I originally thought this was a replica, but from the manufacturing date on the side, it appears as if this gum is still in production. The other possibility is that the maker of this replica put “2002” on the side so that it would be identifiable as his work.
I think it’s pretty awesome that it was included with the jacket. Sure, it’s only a stick of gum, but it just makes the whole jacket buying and owning experience that much sweeter.
A quick search on the internet revealed that Beeman’s is indeed being manufactured anew as a “retro” product. Check it out.
