This particular piece was purchased by me a couple of years ago, under the auspices of it being used to create a Luke Skywalker Empire Strikes Back style blaster. However, like so many projects before and after it, this one fell by the way side.
The only modifications I have made to this piece are as follows. I drilled out the red plastic cap that was in the barrel, and I soaked it in turpentine to get rid of the oils.
Other than that, it’s a straight out of the box Denix Mauser. You can find them online all over the place.
I’m not quite sure how I’m going to incorporate this into my costume, as Cliffy only carries it in his hand, or in his right hand pocket. I may get a shoulder holster for it, just to make it easier to carry.
