As seen in numerous episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation"

I acquired this through a trade.

This is a decent replica of the cricket phasers that were seen in the early seasons of Next Gen. I believe this to be a creation of the "R&D" group, though I cannot confirm this. The paint job is really quite fantastic, with a hard-as-nails clear coat over the top of it to keep it from scuffing. The leds appears to be a filed down off the shelf 10 led bar. This phaser is non-functional. The shape of the phaser makes it look like it might be a recast of the old Ed Mareiki cricket, but I cannot confirm this. The workmanship on the buttons is a little rough, and the button housings are a little chipped. On the plus side, the emitter is cast in a translucent red which looks pretty frickin' cool.
