Seen in numerous episodes of Star Trek: Voyager, this medical scanner is typically found in the back compartment of a Mark X medical tricorder.

I received this item in trade for some work.

Not a lot to tell about this piece, as I did not make it. It's made out of machined aluminum. The bottom screws off to allow for replacement of the three watch batteries used to power it. It has a green LED on the tip, and about 6 or 8 red LED's around the rim. When activated, the red LEDs perform a chase pattern, with the green one firing every few blinks. It also makes sound. The butt end of it has the inscription "SFRD" and some other info indicating the number produced. To see the scanner in action, download my Dueling Tricorders mpeg.
