First off, it's balanced. The body contours are uniform and even. There is no "hand made wonk" introduced into this piece, both with the body shape, and the paint job.
The electronics are great. By touching the tan buttons, you can crank the light meter up and down. The sound effects also change depending on where the power meter is set. There's even an overload setting. Sadly, the phaser does not blow up when it overloads.
MR managed to even replicate the proper decal for the underside of the emitter. Nice touch. The grip is rubberized, giving it a very nice, professional feel.
Speaking of which, this thing is frickin' heavy! When you hold it in your hands, it feels like a real weapon. It feels real. That's one of the things I like about it most.
All in all, I give this piece a ten out of ten.
