This is an off the shelf prop made by a company named IPI.

This piece is really just a place holder in my collection. I think I got it at Fry's Electronics for like 20 bucks. For what it is, it's really a nice piece. It's a mass produced replica of the Classic communicator. Of course, it's riddled with inaccurracies. The voice recorder, calculator, and flashing lights don't help, but I guess they make it more "today". I'm hoping to eventualy build a Catspaw accurate com, but this one will have to do for now. Still, it does make a great chirping noise!
