I am unsure if this is a screen used piece, a made for production piece, or a made by production staff piece. The auction was unclear on that fact, but perhaps I will learn more as time goes on.
A fairly nice piece which also falls squarely into the Trek Obscurata sub category. This weapon was only seen in a few episodes, usually quite briefly, and often with a new paint job. It also appeared in one of the motion pictures hanging on the wall in Kirk's office.
