There are a large number of iconic props in the most recent Trek outing, and in my not-so-humble opinion, the wall communicators or "Wall coms" fit snugly into that category. It's a neat new twist on something that was made famous in the original show.

What you have here (or actually, what *I* have here!) is a fan made replica of the wall coms used throughout the ship. These were seen frequently on the show, and were used as a method for crew members to speak to each other when inside the ship... though in different rooms. Duh!!!

The production of this piece matches very closely the techniques and materials used to make the ones in the show. It's indistinguishable from the ones I've seen in screen captures, and from pieces that claim to be taken from the set. I think it's a top notch, high quality reproduction, and I plan on sticking it on my bedroom wall. Well, not really, but I figure a bold statement like that is necessary every now and again, just to keep people on their toes.
