Battle Droid Blaster

This is a slightly modified Hasbro toy droid blaster. For a toy, it’s pretty close to the original. To make it screen accurate, it would need further modifications. I’d need to make a new stock, fill in the barrel holes, and do some further clean up.

However, I decided to make this a quick “throw together” so I could have something to run around the house with. The toy actually has two pretty cool blaster sound effects that are almost worth the price of admission.

The only mod I made to the toy was to paint it black. I masked off the silver areas, and blasted it with Krylon flat black. The paint job it came with was a pretty lame weathering, so I spiffed it up a little. I also removed the Hasbro branding.

Other than that, this is pretty much a z-lister. Not at all very impressive. I made this when I was just re-entering the prop collecting game after a long stretch of dormancy. I think this blaster was put out right before the release of Episode I, so excitement was still high. At that time, the general public had no idea how much the prequels would suck, so there was great interest in all manner of props and toys.
