This is probably one of my favorite lightsabers. I think I just like the sleek, polished
look to it.
This is another one of the many pieces which I purchased from a small interest in Pennsylvania.
From everything I'm told, this is one darn accurate saber. There was a lot of debate for a long
time over a few details on the activation box, and this one has all of the correct elements
in tact, including the overhaning brass rails.
This saber is actually made up of a few machined pieces that are all screwed together. I suppose
if you really wanted to get nuts (which I know you, the discerning reader, do) you could argue
that the saber is not accurate, in that the "rings" that make up the fore-grip are
uniformly spaced. On the screen used hero, they were far from uniform. This was probably
due to the fact that it was just thrown together for the movie, and not a lot of time or
thought was put into making it perfect. Using this as a background, it seemed only natural
that the prop be "corrected" for this replica. However, purists will take an opposing viewpoint,
and argue that the screen used prop is what should be copied, not an "idealized" version
of the prop. I personally favor "idealized" versions vs. a "screen used clone" version. But
hey, that's just me, and I'm odd.
There's not really a whole lot to say about this saber, other than the fact that it is
really nice. I'm very happy with this saber, and am proud to have it in my collection.
