Yoda's Light Saber

This is a replica of the prop seen in the Star Wars Visual Dictionary, published by DK Books.

This was purchased online.

There are a few interesting stories behind this prop, though most of them are not worth retelling. The prop was originally made for the Visual dictionary. It did not appear in Episode I, nor was it made for episode I. The saber seen in the DK book was made solely for the book. The maker of the actual saber is unsure if the flash used was a Bolsey or a Praco.

The prop is essentially a camera flash with some greeblies added on. The emitter is a hubcap from a Lamborghini model kit, and the activation box is an oil pan. I beleive the grips were scratch built.

This particular replica props body was made from machined aluminum. The greeblies are resin cast parts.
