Just a tiny update today, but proof positive that R2 is an ongoing project.

It has been a very long time since my last update. I even noticed while digging around in my source files that I blew off a couple entries in November of last year. That's unfortunate, but a natural by-product of my busy state. Since I've last written, things have changed drastically in my life. I've taken on a position at a big company doing their imaging solution, and I've also turned my eye to a non-prop related project. I'm digitizing all of my photos, and family photos. So there's lots of scanning and photoshopping going on. It's all keeping me very busy. Though I hate to say it, R2 has for sure taken a back seat.

But things progress nonetheless. At this point in R2's life, I'm waiting on a few final little pieces. The power couplers are 2 of them. They arrived just yesterday.

As with every metal part I've received from the R2 builders club, these are just amazing! Truly beautiful work. I can't wait to get them all painted and installed, though I fear it might be a while before I get around to it.

The only two remaining things that remain are the octagonal ports, and the drive system replacement. Good news is that the octagonal ports were just paid for today. A friend of mine named Russ in the UK is doing a small run, and I managed to get in on the list just before it filled up. The drive system is out for order, and I'm hoping for an april delivery.

So all is going well, and things are moving along. Slowly, but surely.
