I tracked down a dome today!

I had ONE self imposed limitation for this project. I HAD to get an R&J dome. That is the dome that I used on my first R2, and it is (in my humble opinion) the best dome out there. No disrespect intended toward the other makers of fine domes out there. They all have their advantages and benefits. But for my money, and perhaps because it is the one I am most familiar with, I'll go with the R&J.

My plan was that if I could not get an R&J dome, I would not move forward on the project. It's THAT important to me.

So, like any self respecting R2 builder, the first thing I did was email Victor Franco, to see if he had any leads. He did, and sent me the contact information of said lead. A day later, I was on the phone with the guy, discussing the details of it to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Sure enough, it was. Paypal was sent, and the dome is on its way.

No pictures to show, but I have to say that I plan on using my own blog as reference. I know I had a really hard time with the dome last time, and there was day after day of trial and error trying to get the thing to work right. My plan is to simply review my blog, plan my attack, and get to it.
