Just a small update for today, but as always, some good work done.
While totally insignificant work-wise, I took the tape off that was holding the two rear coin returns in place. I really only include this picture here to show off the final product, not necessarily to discuss the work involved.
For each of the outer feet, there are three detail pieces that are held in place with bolts. Today, I secured these in place with some of that maxim super dooper glue. I would put the detail piece in place, then slob on a gob of glue to the bolt inside the foot. Then I would screw the nut down onto it, forever keeping it in place.
That means that the outer feet are ready for painting. Here, I show the first step, which was blasting the inside of the foot with some of the self etching primer. Since the feet are made of steel, I sanded out any tiny rust spots that were forming on the inside of the foot before proceeding.
And that's pretty much it for today!
