A pretty light day of work, as far as R2 is concerned, but I'm still happy to be getting a little something done every day.
The coolest thing I got done today involves the dome. I'm getting ready to finish up the aluminum on the dome, and then clear coat it to protect it. To do this, I have to make sure everything that needs to be in place is in place. There is a dome piece on the back that I had originally thought was blue, but it turns out it's raw aluminum. So I had to strip the primer off it, and then glue it onto the dome. So here's a pic of the piece in question being secured to the dome.
Back on the primering front, I got a few more pieces finished and ready to be painted blue. Here's the ankle cylinders. They're not christmas crackers, as they may appear to be. I've masked off the part of the cylinders that remains aluminum.
And here's the large data port, also primered and ready for blue.
I did hit a few other small pieces with primer, but not worth dedicating a photo to. I'm VERY close to being totally done with primering, which will be a relief.
