This was my first R2 event attended. A bunch of the local builders got together at Fashion Island in Newport Beach to hang out, geek out, and of course... talk droid.
Most of the people there I already knew, but there were a couple of new faces.
From left to right, it's Daniel Deutsch, Guy Vardaman, Matt Munson (duh), Victor Franco, Vincent Sanchez, Mike Senna, and Chris Romines. Daniel was in town for some business, and was kind enough to treat us all to lunch at Red Robin. What a guy! It was really great seeing everyone, and hearing about everyone's adventures in building. There was a discussion about a problem I was having that yielded all kinds of great ideas and solutions. And no, it was not fertility related. Sheesh.
Afterwards, a couple of us went out to Victors car to see his progress on his drive system. I've recently been reading Victors blog, and I have to say I'm amazed by the work he's done. An immense effort, with remarkable results.
