July, 2006

Maybe I was getting bored with international travel, or maybe I just needed to do something with my car before it rusted to death while sitting in the driveway of a friend in North Hollywood. Unsure at this time. However, forces conspired against me to coerce me into driving the trusty Dodge Intrepid across this great nation of ours. Yours. Yeah, yours, seeing as how I'm not a citizen and all.

I departed from North Hollywood, and four short days later arrived in Virginia. Typically driving about 11 hours a day, it was an adventure to remember. My overall impression? America is a very beautiful country. Who knew??

I decided to take the 'northern' route through the country. This took me through Nevada, up through Colorado, over through Kansas, then down into the East Coast.

Though there's only a few pictures shown here, I took a lot more. However, due to the fact that I was trying to get across the country as fast as possible, I didn't follow my normal thorough documentarian policies, thus leaving much of the country un photographed. Below are some of the ones that I find interesting.

I have no idea what city this is. Maybe Kansas City?? Still, looks pretty cool.

Obviously, this was a little stop over I did in Indiana. This was actually a rest stop that I plopped into just as the sun was setting. As far as rest stops go, Indiana got it goin' on.

More rest stops! This time in Colorado.

Utah! No UFO's to be seen, but man was it hot here. Still, nice scenery. And no, I'm not referring to yours truly.
