While in Italy this year, I revisited a lot of my usual haunts. It was a duanting trip though, as I had a severely screwed up ankle. That will teach me to go on uneven terrain without proper footware. Yikes!

Colle Val D'Elsa is one of those amazing picturesque towns that are peppered all across the countryside. I like this one in particular because I know my way around, and it's sort of famous for its underground streets.

This is one of the vineyards that is just off the main road leading up to Pieve. I see this all the time, but I don't think I've posted any pictures of it. So here it is! This is a D.O.C. vineyard, which is quite impressive if you ask me. It's kind of amusing to me to think that some of the best wines in the world come from my neighborhood.

This was the killer. Walking up this hill was very problematic for my ankle, but I made it. It was worth it, and made for some good exercise. It was incredibly hot during the day. Was hovering around 100 for most of this visit. Today offered no relief.

With this place already heavily documented on my website, I thought I would show some of the more obscure scenery. I took this inside a grocery store. All the food is different! Many of the products and items that we take for granted over here don't even exist in Italy, even moreso in these small towns. I challenge you to find a bag of Doritos anywhere in this country!
