Yet another trip up north to visit San Francisco. The main purpose of this trip was to pick up some straggling R2 parts that were at my PO box. While there, I hit as many touristy locations as I could get my hands on. There's some other pictures and write up to be found in my R2-D2 building blog.

Here's the famous San Francisco city skyline. This is the view off the back of the boat. The day was dipping in and out of cloudiness, which made for a decent afternoon. It did get pretty cold later on, but the boat trip out was quite comfortable.

For the first time, I visited Alcatraz, the famous prison. Though a bit cold, and VERY windy, it was worth it. Really neat place. Afterwards, I got a copy of the Clint Eastwood movie "Escape From Alcatraz". Very cool to see how they utilized the space for the movie.
