One of the great tragedies of each of my trips to Italy is the fact that I go in August. You see, in the month of August, Italy closes. Everyone goes on holiday, leaving the country to run itself. No kidding. What has been cited as one of the best restaurants in Tuscany, "L'Astronave" is closed during the entire month of August. So every time I go, I don't get to eat there.

This trip was different! I got to eat there not once, but twice! If you think "The Olive Garden" offers authentic Italian food, then you're either nuts, been watching too much TV, or you've never been to Italy. Well folks, let me tell you, it was worth the wait. While the town of Scorgiano has little to offer as far as tourism goes, what it does have is a total home run as far as culinary delights are concerned.

	Not a very imposing little restaurant.		Even the furniture is pretty ghetto looking. Maybe they save the money for ingredients?
	And here's yours truly, munching on a slice of garlic bread. Boy, I had forgotten how chunky I was at this trip. At the time of this writing, I'm down 40 pounds since this trip. And thank goodness too!!
