It was with great joy that I took to the skies once again! This time, I'm headed north, just like Lex Luthor in Superman II. I've never been to Seattle before. Even though this was a brief trip, it was still a lot of fun.

On the take off from John Wayne Airport, I was happy to see my old school, UCI. Weird to think that it's been so many years since I graduated. It seems like only yesterday that I was learning to program. Well, not really, but that sounds so dramatic.

I arrived in Seattle, and promptly settled into my hotel downtown. This was smack dab in the middle of business, and was just a couple of blocks away from the office I was headed to. Nice place!

I had an evening and an afternoon to check out the town. I wandered down as many streets as I could find, and took my standard barrage of photographs. Sadly, my digital camera gave its final farewell on Wednesday, and I had to resort to a dispsable camera to take pics inside the Space Needle. That's it in the center of this pic.

My favorite part of the trip was the leopard skin print robes that the hotel offers. So THAT'S how they roll up here! NICE!

Overall, it was a great trip. Seattle is very beautiful. I sort of saw it as a cross between Sydney and San Francisco. It has the mix of new and old buildings that you find in Sydney, with the bone chilling and unpredictable weather you get in SF. I'd love to say it's the best of both worlds, but I could do without the cold!
