Manchester! Home of some rock and roll acts that I cannot think of right now. This was a business oriented day trip for me, and it turned out to be a lot of fun. The weather was JUST turning sour for England on this day, and old man snow did not disappoint. It was coming down in sheets in London, but we got a good amount of it here in Manchester. I only had about an hour to explore the city on foot, but it was pretty darn nice. For England's second oldest city, it does not let you down. (I don't even know what that really means, but I'm polishing up on a few travel cliches, and that one was at the top of the pile. Besides, I already used the word "disappoint" once, and I didn't want to overkill on it.)

I don't know if this building has any significance, though I'm sure it does to somebody. I just thought it was neat looking.

Same thing with this building. We just don't get a lot of stuff like this over in California.

I stumbled upon to what I believed to be the town square, which was something of a shopping mecca. I don't know if you can really tell from the photo, but it was snowing like a mofo. None of it was collecting on the ground, but it was really, really coming down.

An interesting view down a side street. You can kind of see the similarities between Manchester and London. I guess.

This was my view as I emerged from the train station. The sun is shining, but it's snowing. Just a light flurry at this time, but that wouldn't last very long.
