After my trip to Iselin, it simply didn't make sense to not spend a day in Manhattan. And who am I to defy logic, I ask you? That was a trick question. The answer is simple: I am NOBODY to defy logic!

Alas, it was another amazing time in Manhattan. I really do love this city. I recently learned it is now the safest city in America, which is just plain weird. 20 years ago, NYC was thought of as a dirty cesspool! Now it's like Disneyland, only a real city! yay!

My hotel was right off Wall St. so to commemorate the occasion, I had to get another few pictures of the big giant bull! I went out early enough so that there weren't tons of tourists and kids clamoring to get a good picture of his naughty bits. What's up with that???

And look! It's a woman ACTUALLY hailing a cab! It's not just like that in the movies. People REALLY do it that way. Crazy.

No trip to Manhattan would be complete without a canoli from a local deli! This one wasn't particularly tasty, but what the heck. When in Rome.

For some reason, this guy goes by the name "The Naked Cowboy". Now, I'm no math major (though I did study it extensively in school) but by my reckoning, this guy is not naked.

On this trip, I dug a little deeper into the local culture, and made it a point to stop off at a couple local eateries. This one was particularly interesting, so I took a photo.

This trip also afforded me the luxury of exploring central park a lot more thoroughly. I found a lot of landmarks, and all kinds of things that have appeared in a million different movies. Seems like if you're going to film a movie in New York, you are obligated to have a scene at this fountain.

Ground Zero. Nuff Said.

And you thought the hippie movement was dead!

I also managed to take the ferry over to the Statue of Liberty, which was surprisingly small! I thought it was bigger!

New York Stock Exchange. Nice!

Since I was so far down town this trip, I made it a point to get comfortable with the subway system. Once you get the hang of it, it's actually quite simple! I was zipping up town, down town, cross town, ALL OVER town like a pro.
