March, 2009

It's official, I am relocating to Columbus. Until then, I'm doing regular visits here to get acquainted with the area and my new role. Should be a lot of fun.

The first order of business in a new town for me is to join a gym. There is a really cool, and really huge gym about 2 blocks away from the office called LifeTime Fitness. They're a bit more expensive than what I'm used to out here in Sunny California, but you get what you pay for. My 24 Hour Fitness is pretty run down, has old equipment, and smells pretty rotten. This new place is state of the art. All tile and marble, new equipment, dozens of plasma TV's, and champagne flowing out of the water faucets. Well, not really on that last part, but you get the point.

This trip, I was staying at a different hotel. I was on the other side of the Easton Towne Center. This photo was taken from the front door of my hotel, looking longingly at the Hilton just up the street.

And here's the new digs. I must confess it is not as swanky as the Hilton, but they do have free internet, and it's closer to the office. Still, it was pretty cool.

Here's one of the stores that saved my life this week. The airlines managed to lose my luggage, so I had to scramble to find two days worth of clothes and misc items. Between Target and Nordstroms, I had all of my bases covered. Thank goodness they are all withing distance of the hotel.
