Not a lot to report on from Poggibonsi this year. Typically, this is where my train arrives when I come in from Pisa. This year things worked out really well. Just as I stood off the train, there was a bus arriving that was headed to Colle Val D'Elsa, which I promptly jumped onto. Then it was a huff from there to Pieve, but it all ended well.
We ended up going back to Poggibonsi a couple of times, usually to hit up the supermarket. This is the nearest place that has an American style supermarket. You know, the kind of place where you can pretty much find anything.

Not terribly exciting, but this is the parking lot of the supermarket. I include this here to demonstrate that it's a pretty modern little city in Tuscany. Yes, not everywhere is a hilltop, medieval town.

Here is the front end of the supermarket. All kinds of little boutique shops around it. Seems like there's always a place selling tons of swimwear.

The chocolate isle!!! Check out all of that euro choco! Yum!

|
Not AS yum as the choco-isle, here is a freezer bin filled with flash frozen octopi! Wacky! That's something you tend not to see too much of in America.

Another rarity, cashiers that get to sit down! It always baffles me when I get back to America and see all the cashiers standing up. Would it be SOOO difficult to let them sit down?? Juss sayin'.
