These pictures were taken at the Arnold Classic, in downtown Columbus. This is a health/fitness/bodybuilding expo that is held once a year. It was started by the legendary Arnold Schwarznegger, who is of course now governor of California. And no, calling him the Governator is not funny anymore.

I always sort of had interest in going to this event, though I was certainly never willing to travel all the way to Ohio to do it. But now that I live here, I figured it made sense to drive 15 minutes to check it out.

Overall, I would rate this expo as "Interesting". I guess it was a lot of fun to see, but it was just SOOO crowded. The pictures really don't do it justice. It was like walking through a thick swamp of people. You couldn't really see anything, and couldn't really make any progress in moving around. Still, it was fun to just do it, and check it off the list.

This is the closest thing I got to an aerial view. This is coming down the escalator towards the main expo.

I have no idea what this was all about, nor why they were in a cage. But it makes for a good photo.

This is the hotel that was hosting, and the convention center off to the left. There's already a ton of people making their way over there.

Another shot from the expo floor. This sort of gives you a flavor for how packed and nutty the entire event was.
