This is sort of a sad and dreary way to kick off the new year, but welcome to my life! These are some pictures from my apartment complex. I must confess that as my first winter in Ohio, this was a bit of a shock. I really cannot remember the last time I saw snow like this and wasn't wearing a pair of skis. Though I lived in Illinios as a young child, I really don't remember the details of the winters, nor the cold. Oh well.

This is the view from my livig room. Across the street is the world famous Easton Town Center. It's a really great place to hang out, even in the freezing cold.

This is the courtyard of my building. Those piles of snow? Those are cars.

Down at ground level, just outside the leasing office.

And this, dear readers, is my car. Well, it used to be. At the time of this writing, Ohio has since killed this car and I've gotten a new one. Turns out, digging your car out from under all that snow is NOT fun.
