I went on another weekend road trip to visit my good pal Gregg over in Indianapolis. The plan was just to goof around for the weekend, though the highlight was to see an appearance by Crispin Glover and to see a movie he made.

Worst. Decision. Ever.

While it was an absolute thrill and pleasure to spend time with Gregg and his wife, the Crispin Glover thing was a complete abomination. Hands down, the worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. He did a little dramatic reading thing before the movie, and that was interesting for about 10 minutes, but it went on 50 minutes too long. During the entire experience, I think it's the closest I've ever felt to being BACK in high school since I left. Just that feeling of utter boredom, waiting with mad anticipation for the clock to keep moving so you can get the heck out of there and get on with more interesting things. It was just plain torture.

The upside is that we did meet some really interesting people while waiting in line to get in, and it gave Gregg and I a few topics of conversation for the next few weeks.

Here's the place where the Crispin Glover event was being held. I think it's a library or something.

A visit to Indy would not be complete without lunch at "The Journey", an awesome sushi buffet place that never fails to satisfy. Gregg was kind enough to invite a few of his local building buddies along, which made for a great and entertaining lunch.

This is outside Gregg's house. That's his motorcycle and Transformers inspired car. The boy is ALL about his toys.

We made a trip to the local Hobby Lobby to get some picture framing questions answered, and while there, the girl behind the counter was showing off her home made earrings. Yup, those are REAL spiders stuck in there! Pretty cool idea!
