To be precise, this was a visit to Belmont Shores, which is IN Long Beach. I went to spend a day with some friends, and most of all, to visit my favorite frozen yogurt place, Yogurt Land! Or maybe it's Yogurt Town. I can never keep it straight in my head.

Here's a cute little neighborhood that is VERY typical of Belmont. Quite charming.

And who doesn't like palm trees! This is actually on the drive up the coast into Long Beach. Here I'm on PCH, headed north.

Almost sunset time! This is just something you don't get to see in the midwest: the sun setting over the ocean. One of the most beautiful things I have seen during my lifetime, and it just never gets old.
