This was my second trip to Monroe, and I didn't take half as many photos as I did on my first trip. As of this writing, I still have not entered the first trip into my website, so I will have to get on that pronto!

This was a work trip, and was only for a couple of days, so I didn't really do anything terribly exciting. I seem to recall I was feeling a tad under the weather for those couple of days.

The highlight of the trip outside of the work functions was a visit to the local aviation museum. It's this cute, tiny little building just outside the airport. My buddy Amit and I had a couple of hours to waste before our flight left, so we went in here and checked it out. It was a really neat little taste of small town america.

Monroe is actually the birthplace of Delta Airlines, and a lot of the stuff in here reflected that. For the most part, this was a collection of aviation and wartime memorabelia from locals. Pretty amazing stuff, and a lot of great local history in here.

This is what I think of when I recall my trip. Wide open fields! Having lived in California and big cities for so long, I'm kind of used to land and space being at a premium. But there are so many places around that just don't put so much emphasis on making good use of every square inch. It's kind of neat to see.

Here's my hotel, the Garden Inn!
