As is necessary with any trip to California, I called upon my old and dear friend Bill Fischer. Bill is always quick to supply much needed witty banter, rock and roll, and some good engineering discussion.

The flying fortress! As luck would have it, this beast was making the rounds and did a stop at the Torrance Airport, where Bill has his hangar.

Here's the inside of the beast. Must have been pretty terrifying flying over enemy territory in one of these. I know I am not cut out for that kind of work.

The slightly less intimidating BearHawk that is being built by Bill.

I was lucky enough to be given a test seating in the pilots seat.

And here's the Master & Commander himself, Captain Bill Fischer. That thing has knobs and cranks and buttons that I'll never understand.

And here is the Fischers' latest and greates creation! Yay! That makes four! Go Bill!
