Without getting into too many details, my current assignment has me living in this amazingly cool little hamlet in France. In fact, it's in a region called "Le Cevennes". There's an accent on the first e, but I cannot be bothered to find the HMTL code to do it. I suppose that shows a certain lack of respect for the area, but hopefully, the residents/denizens will not be highly offended.

Though this hamlet is my base of operations, I plan on spending the next week out and about in the area, visiting a number of small towns and villages within 100 km of this place. Should be quite a good little adventure.

This is actually the cluster of houses to the left hand side of the place where I'm staying. They're only a few hundred meters apart, but all part of the same deal.

Here's the actual cluster I'm staying in.

This is the view from the front porch. If not for that damn electricity cable, it would be perfect. Then again, electricity is pretty useful for a lot of things, so I suppose I shouldn't complain.

And here's the actual house. Oddly enough, it's a converted barn. Who ever saw a barn that looked like that anyway? Honestly.
