By the time I hit Brive, I had seen so many French towns that they had all started to blur into one. I believe I stopped here on my way to La Dordogne, heading out from Les Cevennes. I really don't remember, but that sort of fits. I was taking a long train ride, and this was one of my transfer points. I had about an hour and a half to spend there, so I decided to do a walking tour. It's actually a pretty nice little city, bigger than most of the places I had been lately. Very cosmopolitain. The big drawback was that ALL THREE of the town's internet cafe's were out of business. I only remember this because I was desperate to find a place to print some stuff out, but it never materialized.

An interesting cluster of buildings towards the centre ville. This was just down the street from an open air market.

Another example of some interesting local architecture. I don't think this building held any particular significance, other than the fact that I thought it looked cool.

Another bastion of French city life: The self cleaning crapper! You pay a euro to go in here, but it's frickin' worth it! Clean as a whistle, these babies have an automated cleaning routine that is executed after each use.
