Now this is more like it! I paid a visit (two actually, but who cares!) to a SUPER amazing restored medieval castle in La Dordogned named Castlenaud. I believe this is where the inspiration for the movie "Timeline" came from. Oh, there was a book before that, but who cares! A truly beautiful castle that is surrounded by a lovely little village, it is a lot like being catapulted back in time.

And speaking of catapults, what makes Castlenaud interesting is not only the fact that it's a frickin' castle, but also that it is a museum of medieval warfare! Too cool!

The main castle. Quite picturesque, if I do say so myself. (which I just did, seeing as how this is my website and all)

A set of trebuchets. These were the standard large scale seige weapon of the day. They chuck big rocks, just like in the Lord of the Rings movies!

A sample of one of the many exhibits inside the castle.

One of my favorite photos from this day, this is a veiw from atop one of the towers of the castle. Not bad.
