Domme was probably my favorite place out of all the small towns I visited whilst in France. It's an old fortified town on the top of a hill that was a Knights Templar stronghold for a while. Just a neat little town with some beautiful views and lovely hotels. Somehow, I lucked out and ended up staying in a three story cottage all by myself for a bit. Quite a nice, civilized break from sleeping in some of the rat pits I visited.

Believe it or not, this is main street in Domme. Quite quaint, yes? The street is essentially lined with tourist traps, though there is the occasional legit place nestled in there somewhere.

This is one of the views I was talking about above. This is a view from just above a park over on one side of the town. Below is the Dordogne river, and the Dordogne river valley. Duh.

Here's my little cottage too! Man, I miss that place already.

He's rugged. He's swarthy! He hasn't taken a shower in 2 days! He's Matt Munson! This is probably one of my favorite pictures from the whole adventure, and not solely because it stars yours truly. This was in the middle of a fifty mile, two day walk, and I was totally exhausted. My scuzzy status is offset by the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Quite poetic, N'est ce pas?
