Gramat was where I began the second leg of my big journey through France. Not really anything particularly interesting about this place, other than the hotel I stayed at.

Gramat from a distance. In fact, I took this picture as I was walking towards the center of town from the railway station.

Centre Ville. Believe it or not, this is downtown. This is where all of the action takes place, and when all of the stores close just when you need them. Who came up with that idea anyway?

Along the way out of town, I followed the Alzou river. This is one of the many old mills along the way. If you're not looking for it, you could walk right passed it. It's so covered with moss and growth that it almost blends in with the surroundings. I saw about 8 mills along the way, but not all of them are documented here.

Another picture from the walk out of Gramat. This type of view was fairly typical for this part of the walk, but I always found it very beautiful.

Another mill! this one has a little less moss on it, and you can kind of make out the shape of what it could have looked like when it was originally in operation. This one was probably being used to grind wheat, flour, or possibly walnuts.
