April, 2006

I took a very brief trip to the United States this month, mainly to head up to San Francisco to do a Mythbusters run. Along the way, I hung out with some pals and did a TON of driving. I spent about three thousand bucks on camping/hiking gear and a new laptop. Things in the UK are like a million times more expensive. I calculate that the money I saved more than paid for my airplane ticket.

Here's the beautiful downtown Los Angeles skyline. I took this while driving along the 10 freeway. I still cannot get used to how bad the traffic is in LA. It really is a complete nightmare.

This is the side of the Kodak theatre, where they hold the oscars. Not a very exciting photo, but I wasn't really paying attention until we were almost past it.

One of my standard haunts, LAX!
