December, 2005

My last trip in 2005 was a return to India, but this time to Mumbai. It is certainly an interesting country, but tends to not fit in too well with my weak intestinal tract. Everytime I go there, I get really sick. Good thing I took my malaria meds.

There are two things about this trip that make it memorable. First is the fact that it was on the flight from LAX to Paris that I met my good pal Payton. God bless random encounters! The second thing is the fact that the people I worked with in India are so dedicated and passionate about their work that they make my job so much easier. Truly a great bunch of people.

A shot of some fancy schmancy appartment buildings in the background, and a dirt road filled with garbage in the foreground.

This was taken just outside the office building I was working at. Inside the compound, behind the big wall, it was really plush and modern. Outside: not so much.

The pool at the hotel I was staying in. A beautiful hotel, mind you. The Hyatt Regency Mumbai. I'll stay there any time.

Another view of the back yard from my room. This time, you can see the city skyline.

A typical street in Mumbai. Street vendors, torn up roads, and people everywhere. Crazy stuff.
