After a grueling 2+ weeks abroad, I finally returned home to Sydney. What better excuse do I need to put together another web page for the travel section. After all, I did travel to Sydney!

On my first weekend back, after wrestling with jet-lag for a night or two, I finally decided to get off my buttocks and walk across the Sydney Harbor Bridge. It was a fantastic day for it, and it was a real treat. I splurged and spent the 8.50 AUS to climb up one of the plyons to get a better view of the city. What follows is a very small sampling of the three billion or more pictures I took during my walk. My new 1 gig memory stick in my camera has empowered me to take even more photos than before, causing my hard drive endless grief.

There's the desitination, off in the distance. It took me a little bit of trail and error to actually find my way up to the pedestrian walk way entrance, but it all worked out.

This is the view from underneath the first pylon. A nice place for a little break, and a good place to drop 8.50 AUS.

I kind of stuck my arms out from under the fence to get this picture along the side of the bridge. You can see the opposite side of the harbor and some of the cool appartments that lie there.

Ah, the money shot. I think this was taken from on top of the pylon, but you get the idea. That's the Opera House, and that place where all the boats are is called the Circular Quay. I think they pronounce it "Key" down here, but they do a lot of things that are weird. You should see the way the toilets flush!!!
