Ok, so perhaps this section is a bit mislabeled. Truth is, this is still Sydney, but I spent some time tracking down some filming locations for The Matrix. Many of them are just right in the middle of the city, nothing special. But the one's I've found so far are pretty neat. I include screen captures where I have them.
Interesting to note that some of the locations were heavily altered with CGI stuff. The fountain scene is a good example.

This is the fountain from the agent training program that teaches Neo (and the audience) how an agent can take over the body of any person. Including the woman in red. Interestingly enough, there's a chick wearing a red dress in this photo. Very weird. Who took that red pill anyway?? Here's a screen grab for your comparing pleasure. |

This is another angle of the fountain that matches (sort of) one of the angles used in the film. Check out this screen grab to see some of the differences between the actual location and what they showed in the film. |

This is from the last scene in the movie, when Neo crank calls the machines and tells them all to go to hell. I always thought it would be cool if he had asked "Is your refrigerator running?" or something like that, but I digress. Check out this screen capture to compare. |
